Is this a new, carnivorous bird species?
An Argentinian man claims he has taken a photo of new, undiscovered bird species. Apparently, the photographer submitted his photograph to the Center Study UFOs of Argentina, and they state that the “image [is] of ‘high strangeness’ and a flying ‘entity’.” This photo has been flying around all over the Internet, especially on French blogs. What do YOU think it might be? Is it a new species of bird? Is it carnivorous? Is it all a hoax like the Big Foot discovery of last year?
UPDATE: Blog Cryptmundo has photos debunking this “new species,” claiming that the animal could just be an insect. See the evidence for yourself.

December 16, 2008
I haven’t posted on my blog since September 29, 2008.
Today is December 16, 2008. It’s been almost three months since my last blog post. So, what’s new?
Politics
- We have a new president, President-elect Barack Obama. I am so relieved that Americans made the right choice for president and we are all ready to have our very first Hawaiian president.
- Senator Hillary Clinton has been tapped to be our next Secretary of Sate, which I think is wonderful. I’m still a little ticked that Barack didn’t choose her for his running-mate.
- Proposition 8 passed, by the slimmest of margins, in California. Thanks to the Church of Latter-day Saints and their tens of millions of dollars that were poured into California from Utah. The California Supreme Court will be taking a look at the proposition and its constitutionality very soon, though.
Entertainment
- Britney Spears released her real comeback album “Circus,” which was the #1 album in its first week of release, beating out Kanye West and Beyoncé. Her first single “Womanizer” becomes #1, and her newest single “Circus” is on its way to the top. And I can’t stop listening to her album.
- Rosie O’Donnell’s variety show on NBC totally flopped. I watched the first five minutes and I completely understand why. I don’t think we’ll be seeing much of her again…
- Kathy Griffin’s comedy album “For Your Consideration,” made just to be considered for a Grammy, has been nominated for a Grammy award for Best Comedy Album! Yesssss.
My Life
- Just finished my first semester in college. One of the best experiences of my life, and the classes were a breeze — except for my stupid communications class where my extremely liberal professor tried to push his beliefs on us. I don’t think they were just coincidences that we watched several videos on war, religion, and sex.
- I volunteered at a local polling place on election day. Met some wonderful people. Who knew people were still so friendly here in Orange?
- I was hit by the “Twilight” bug after watching the movie. I’ve been reading the saga and it’s pretty amazing.
Hopefully this won’t be the last blog post this month. haha.

My little sister, 10, came home from school this Friday really excited. She said that all her friends at school were talking about this cool thing called “Club Penguin,” where you get to choose a penguin and play games, dress it up, and just have fun. Now she wants to be part of the crowd and wanted to join as soon as possible. I told her and my dad to wait just a second before whipping out that credit card.
I first heard of Club Penguin on the news when Disney acquired the site, and later I learned that my friend’s little sister is on it, too. All I was aware of was that Club Penguin was a great, safe online environment for kids. So great, in fact, that Disney has already spent $350 million on acquiring it, and is planning to spend another $350 million if “specific targets are met by 2009.” [source] I have been doing some research on the site, not because I want to spoil the fun and burst my sister’s bubble, but becuase I just really want to check this thing out and see if it really is safe, what with all of those sexual predators online and whatnot (I watch Dateline NBC too much).
Here’s what I found out…

Former American Idol star Clay Aiken has come out as being gay in a new People magazine interview (on news stands now). Clay says that “it was the first decision [he] made as a father,” and that “[he] cannot raise a child to lie or to hide things. [He] wasn’t raised that way, and [he is] not going to raise a child to do that.” And that last part is a bit ironic because he kept his sexual orientation from his family basically his whole life!
But as he comes out, is anyone really shocked? Does anyone even CARE? Obviously, some people will care because People magazine has made it this week’s cover story. When I learned about his coming out, I just thought to myself, “Well, it’s about time!”
I still don’t understand this whole thing with the baby… he’s gay and he did it with a chick just for a kid, or for a cover up? Yeah, I don’t get it, either.

The cover of the Jonas Brothers' new CD.
Yesterday, the Jonas Brothers’ third studio album, “A Little Bit Longer,” went on sale and my little sister, being the huge Jonas Brothers fan, got the 2-disc Special Edition Target exclusive. I gave the CD a listen and I was blown away by how good the music was! It may be a tweeny-bopper band popularized by Disney, but the music was amazing, and I completely forgot that I was listening to a band on the Hollywood Records label (Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens, and the like are also on this Disney-owned label)!
The first song, “BB Good” is a really upbeat song and a great way to start off the album, and the second song is their popular “Burnin’ Up.” Those two songs and “Pushin’ Me Away” are my favorite songs on the album. If you haven’t picked up this CD, you should go today and enjoy the music.
But you have to decide what Bonus YOU want…
- Wal-Mart Bonus Track: “Live to Party”
- Target Bonus Track: “Hello Goodbye” + Bonus Exclusive DVD
- Best Buy Bonus Track: “Out of This World”
I think the Jonas Brothers have another hit CD in their hands.
- Read the Rolling Stone review.
- Buy on iTunes.

I just got this new application for my iPhone called Dizzy Bee (Free) and it is SO much fun. The object of the game is to help the little Dizzy Bee rescue his fruit friends by using your iPhone or iPod touch and tilting and turning it. The graphics are pretty good and the gameplay is fun but challenging. I downloaded a few days ago, and I just synced it to my iPhone and I played it for the first time today and I couldn’t put it down. It’s just too entertaining. Yup. You should check out the trailer on YouTube, and if you have an iPhone or iPod Touch, go download it for free!

An example of Greyhound's ad campaign.
We’ve all heard of the beheading that occurred in a Canadian Greyhound bus, right? Well, Greyhound was running an advertising campaign in Canada about bus travel, and how safe it is. The ad campaign’s tagline was “There’s a reason you’ve never heard of ‘bus rage.’” How ironic is that?
