High Fructose Corn Syrup Ads

These ads about high fructose corn syrup are absolutely ridiculous. I saw one of these commercials (of many, I have learned) for the first time today and I have to say that these ads are really misleading. High fructose corn syrup is a chemically processed syrup that is cheaper and easier to make than sugar, and is shown to lead to obesity. But it shouldn’t be categorized as an “all-natural” alternative to sugar. And yes, ANYTHING in moderation is OKAY for your body.

And you thought Cash4Gold’s commercials were annoying? Well, this is just shameless, horrible, and probably ten times worse!

I HATE Cash4Gold Commericals

Has anyone NOT seen these stupid commericals that run at random times during the day? I watch the morning news, it runs. I watch Ellen, it runs. I watch Jay Leno, it runs. I watch the Olympics, it runs. What gives? These things are ridiculous! And isn’t “Cash4Gold” a scam anyway? Why would anyone in their right mind give away their scrap gold without getting it appraised first?

There are so many things that just don’t make sense to me at all. First, their “secure” envelope that you mail your jewelry in is just some paper and a small plastic bag. How is that secure? Shouldn’t it be bullet-proof or something? Second, how much will you be getting for your gold? They say they’ll give you cash and blah blah blah. But in reality, how much do you REALLY get? Five bucks for your old class ring that cost you $500? And third, the poeple in the commercials need acting lessons or something. They’re just so dumb.

Oh, and my favorite line from the commercial:

I sent in my diamond wedding band from my first marriage and got money the very next day.

Paris Hilton Strikes Back

We’ve all seen John McCain’s attack ad, either on TV or on YouTube, right? If you haven’t, you need to watch the video, above, because it’s pretty low for an attack ad.
